The listing, iHome FM Stereo alarm clock / dock your IPad nano or IPhone has ended.

Was used for only a few days until I learned the phone I had was not an I phone (showing my age) ! Comes in the box complete with directions, and of course in New condition.

Does the unit run on rechargeable batteries or does in need to be plugged into an outlet to function?

It says it has battery back up even during power outages.the battery is included but not a rechargble battery

I had it plugged in but it said if you have a power outage it will continue you to work I am out of town right now when I get home tomorrow I will read instructions to give you more info

Also it says it takes I phone 5 and iPhone 45, iPhone 4, 3GS and iPod touch ( 2 through 5th generation and iPod nano 3rd through 7 th generation .
