The listing, ~~100 Year old Bible~~Leather Cover~~Antique Bible~~1914~~ has ended.

this Bible is 100 years old. It does have some age-related problems. This Bible has a ripped cover as you can see from the photos. All the pages are intact, there are no missing pages.there are many news clippings of obituaries and prayer cards in the Bible when I got it. They are included with the Bible. This is the Douay version. I hope the person that buys this Bible will treasure it as the beautiful antique that it is.

This is truly a treasure and the most amazing thing that I have seen on Listia since I've been a member. I'm a local genealogist and historian here in my county in TN and it would be great to see someone who may be a descendant of that family to get this bible. Regardless of who gets it, this should be treasured always. It's very hard to find things this far back, and I agree with the one who would like to see what a 100 year old Bible says vs those of today. That would be interesting. As much as I would love to have this for my collection of Bibles, there's no way that I could get it. The one who truly should have this Bible will surely win it. that would be ideal, but the biggest problem with that is that I am disabled and I look around my house for things that I can put up on Listia so I can get gift cards or restaurant gift cards. So in essence, I turn my things into food.

This is the Douay version. In a couple of the pictures I showed the spine which says Douay version, and the front face page has some explanation.

The bible isn't a big deal for me. Alot of people claim they are christian because they go to church, but they aren't. I was born a christian but all the bad in my life has taken me away from any religion and doesn't mean anything to me anymore, i just like to give. I'm a giver you don't have to have a religion to give.
