Ziggy Marley's "Melancholy Mood" from his debut (post Melody Makers) album Dragonfly, inspired me to pastel a portrait from the album liner and promotional photography.

I heard it live on his first solo tour at Oklahoma City's Zoo Ampitheater with my brother. Melancholy mood played during the short time between the summer haze of evening and the cool of the night.

Perfect timing earned a favorite song.
