What you have there IS an ice fishing rod, my friend. I have guided for 24 years, and that is an ice fishing rod....with that said, these are great for wade fishing small creeks and casting in tight quarters for panfish, as well as using for the kids or grandkids to introduce them to fishing [as long as the reel isn't too large for them to manage]. GOOD LUCK on your auction my southern friend...I bid, but was beat out already, lol!
