"Bloodsucking Fiends-A Love Story" by Christopher Moore.

Paperback, used, with a couple of creases in the cover, good condition overall.

Jody never asked to become a vampire. But when she wakes up under an alley dumpster with a badly burned arm, an aching back, superhuman strength, and a distinctly Nosferatuan thirst, she realizes the decision has been made for her.
Making the transition from the nine-to-five grind to an eternity of nocturnal prowlings is going to take some doing, however, and that's where C. Thomas Flood fits in. A would-be Kerouac from Incontinence, Indiana, Tommy (to his friends) is biding his time night-clerking and frozen-turkey bowling in a San Francisco Safeway. But all that changes when a beautiful undead redhead walks through the door...and proceeds to rock Tommy's life--and afterlife--in ways he never thought possible.

"Goofy grotesqueries...wonderful...delicious...bloody funny...like a hip and youthful 'Abbot and Costello Meet the Lugosis.'"
- San Francisco Chronicle

"The funniest writer of comic fantasy novels working today."
- The Washington Post Book World

"Mr. Moore, whose cult readership finds him delightful for good reason, marches to his own little drummer boy...Mr. Moore is seriously wicked about humor...[He's] clearly the unhinged Hiaasen. He's 'Daily Show' funny and willing to subvert anything."
- Janet Maslin, The New York Times

"Deft and Funny"

If you aren't familiar with Christopher Moore, you're in for a treat. This is the first of his trilogy of vampire books, the other two, "Bite Me" & "You Suck" are also up for auction.

Thanks for looking & good luck, that's one of the reasons I put these books on here, I love exposing new people to this wonderful author.

I'm not familiar with any of the books or authors you mentioned, but I can tell you this, Christopher Moore is the only author that I have read in the past ten years that had me laughing out loud. The three books I mentioned are his vampire novels, but his other novels are just as good. One that I have which I haven't listed yet is "A Dirty Job" which is about a guy who is chosen to be a messenger of death, he has to collect souls before they are grabbed by evil forces. Believe it or not, it was, in my opinion, the funniest of all his books, the characters in that book also cross paths with the vampires in the 3 vampire books. Anyway, I couldn't recommend Christopher Moore any higher, I am positive that once you read one of his novels, you will be hooked immediately & want to read all his other books.
