Colorful, yellow chrysanthemums are a welcome fall flower that extend the blooming season in flower gardens. If they are grown in pots,they can decorate your porch well into the fall or until the freeze of winter sets in. When that happens, don't throw them away, because being a perennial, they will grow again come spring. Just set them in a cool dry place until the first signs of spring, then set them out and begin watering them regularly. I've had some that came back every year for 10 years.
