Other useful information (I think):
This piercing is also known as a CBR (Captive Bead Ring) or sometimes called a BCR (Ball Closure Ring). This ring can be used for lip, ear, and/or nipples.

To open most types of captive bead rings you usually need a Ring Opener to close the ring you will need Ring Closing Pliers. Those tools are not needed if you are buying acrylic rings. They can easily be opened and closed by hand!

Jewelry is measured through a gauge system.
The *higher* the gauge number the *smaller* the wire is.
A standard "earring" is usually 20 gauge.
A standard ear piercing at an actual shop with a needle is usually a 14 gauge.
Jewelry gauges/sizes can vary between manufacturers.

There is no universal regulation on companies to make a standard size in body jewelry. A big part of this is that some jewelry is made overseas and measured in millimeters. And in the USA jewelry is measured in inches/gauges. So many times jewelry can be anywhere from .5mm to 1mm different

Acrylic jewelry is light weight and great for healed piercings *only*. Acrylic should not be used in new or unhealed piercings. It should also not be used in newly stretched piercings.
