French Pink Clay is made of a blend of red and white clay. Pink Clay benefits the skin by cleansing, detoxifying and removing dead skin cells. It leaves your skin looking and feeling refreshed.

The soap is approximately 3 x 3 x 1 inches and is made in molds I make myself!

Ingredients: Coconut oil, soy oil, lard, food grade lye (please see note below), extra virgin olive oil, Shea butter, cocoa butter, oat flour, bee pollen, all natural raw honey, pure vegetable glycerin, vitamin E, Palmarosa essential oil, lavender essential oil, rosemary essential oil and crushed peppermint leaf.

Food grade lye is used for many foods that may surprise you. The one that is most know to the Norwegian community is the making of lutefisk which literally means Lye fish, it is used in making canned olives, and mandarin oranges. It is also used in the making of pretzels and Japanese ramen noodles. Lye is caustic if not handled properly. To learn more go to Wikipedia.

All of the new soaps in my shop are made by hot process. The main reason for this decision was for my son. When he returned from Afghanistan, he tried many of my soaps and he broke out in huge welts. Mind you no one else in the family had trouble with the soap but it was horrible for him. I tried different combinations of oils and nothing I changed seemed to make any difference. Then He helped me to make a chocolate orange soap he loved. We made it hot process as I was getting ready for a fair close to my home. He had no reaction at all. So now all my soap is hot process. I get a great lather and a milder soap for sensitive skin. My soap is made for my family so you can feel safe in using it for yours!
