Description

The listing, Purple Heart Plant Cuttings has ended.

I will send the winner of this auction 3 nice cuttings from my purple heart plants. These are really nice plants from the succulent family. When the cuttings root they produce very strong roots. All you do is snip off more of the cutting, as it grows, and stick it in soil and it will root. Takes little care and water. Very drought resistant. You will love the pop of color these add to your flower beds or containers. They also bloom a small pink flower on the tops of the plant.

Some websites say desert tropical and one or two has referred to it being in the succulent family. They are referred to as being a drought tolerant plant, on every website I have found, but when you start them out from cuttings be sure to keep the soil very moist until it roots then you don't have to water very much. That is what I have found in MS and have had them do well for me for years and we can have some intense heat in the summertime. I do take them in in the winter tho because of our freezing temps. It varies for everyone. Hardiness zones are 8-11.

such a neat-looking plant! :O if it weren't over my limit, i'd get this for my mom. :d she LOVES houseplants, and her HUGE cactus recently withered and died on her. she's had that thing forever, and it finally died on her. D:
