The listing, 1940's Hankie #5 has ended.

Very sheer and feminine - soft and has flowers that stand out -very very pretty. Has been washed to prove it is not deteriorating - stood the test! Beautiful!

I always loved them too! My grandmother would have have never been without one and she loved to crochet around them.

I agree - you don't hardly see ladies with hankies anymore - These came from France. I washed them all to make sure they were still OK - The prettiest one did not make it through hand washing and I was so glad that I did "test" them because it would have broken a heart. Thank you for reaching out!

Yes, I love all vintage linens as well as scarves etc. I always hand wash and line or grass dry but have lost a few items myself but they were in need of TLC to begin with so I knew the risks. Thanks for listing these treasures. I found a french made tea towel this past weekend at an estate sale and hugged it all the way around while looking at other things!
