Unfortunetly there are no controls as to jewelery markings.I got stuck with a necklace stamped 14kt Italy,only to find out by my friend[jeweler]that it was counterfeit,and the seller wouldn't give me a refund.Left negative feedback,but still out 199.00.Purchased on Ebay.I'm not calling you dishonest,but a little nieve like a lot of people,me included,its pretty much buyer beware when not dealing with a retail jeweler.Great looking ring,smart move with the magnet test.Good luck.
