...they're a large. My son wears a 34/36 waist and he wears a sz large, so i'm sure they should. Elastic on the side and adjustable drawstring waist.

Are they faded? The red flowers look a little faded but I'm not sure if that's how you bought them or not.

...no they're not faded. My 14 yr old son wore them a couple of times and decided that he was only going to wear khaki colored cargo shorts.
