Crinoids are marine animals that make up the class Crinoidea of the echinoderms (phylum Echinodermata). Crinoidea comes from the Greek word krinon, "a lily", and eidos, "form".They live both in shallow water and in depths as great as 6,000 metres.
There are only about 600 extant crinoid species,[7] but they were much more abundant and diverse in the past. Some thick limestone beds dating to the mid- to late-Paleozoic are almost entirely made up of disarticulated crinoid fragments.
This skull is made up of a conglomeration of fossils of crinoids.

Love the skull. Very unique and I have an Orange cat as well. Not as big as that one but still pretty heavy but not in a fat way. lol. I think he gets to much exercise playing with the other two cats and our three dogs. lol
I grew in in Keizer/Salem Oregon but moved to Tacoma, Washington 10 years ago. I had a chance to move back to OR. but just fell in love with WA. way to much to go back. Have a beautiful view of Mt. Rainier from my bedroom door that leads to the balcony. Don't want to go back to OR.
