Description

The listing, Giant White Bird of Paradise has ended.

This is a gorgeous plant that gets VERY large! Also known as The Travelers palm. The flowers are over a foot long and a beautiful blue and white in color. These can be started indoors and then moved outside once they have outgrown their containers. They need a sandy well-drained soil and should not be planted too close to the house or you will be pruning constantly. They are a tropical plant, but will grow in colder climates...they just wont get as large. Can also be a houseplant in front of a nice sunny window. Bidder will receive 5 seeds from my backyard plant. Thanks for bidding!

I'm not sure about the exact zones...but I had another Listian in North Carolina tell me she has one outside. She said it doesn;'t get as large as here in Florida and so far hers hasn't bloomed...but it's still young. She said hers got to about 12 feet....out here they get to 30 or 40 feet. She said they can take a freeze and will lose a few leaves but will survive. Thanks for looking...I hope that helps...Anne..
