I have bags dating back to 1972 and many with no date code....date codes didn't come into play until the early 90's. Are you able to take a close up pix of any exterior leather pieces that has stitching; (the stitching is also a dead give-a-way?). Don't take this puppy down yet!!! Thanks

Welcome to listia! You are correct about the date code... I do know some LVs made around the 80s do Not have date codes. Im not saying that is is or isn't real, Im definitely not an expert.

Okay I have looked and looked and looked all over the bad and I can't find the number anywhere. It has all the leather, buckles, patterns, stitching, etc. This is an 80s vintage monogram canvas cartouchiere GM bag. Some bags weren't made with a date code around this time. I don't want to sell this to one of you and it be a fake. So I will take down this auction in 2 days unless someone is willing to take the risk. I believe it is authentic, I've done some serious research to find out if it is or not:) I'm sorry for any inconvience and once again it will be down in 2 days unless someone wants it.
