Vintage Spanish Damascene Toledo Ware Figurative Seahorse Brooch Made In Spain Signed!! Est of year made is around late 1950's to early 1960's

Very detailed Damascene/Toledo Ware brooch.
Figurative sea horse. Measures 2 1/2" inches tall x 3/4" wide along the center. Safety close on the back. Marked SPAIN on the back. Excellent condition.

Damascene has roots in the Middle Ages and originates from the oriental-style artisan work done in Damascus, Syria. These patterns are obtained by engraving non precious metals which are decorated with 18-24K gold in decorative patterns.....
