When does it bloom?? How large does it have to get to bloom??

Mine blooms in the autumn when it begins to cool down a bit, just before I bring it back inside for the cold months. Not sure how big it needs to be though since I have always owned this as a larger plant. If anyone has more info, that would be great. Thanks for the questions!
