Description

The listing, Vintage Nikon 35mm camera with prime lens and flash has ended.

Up for grabs we have a vintage Nikon EM 35mm Film SLR camera. with accessories.

Before we go any further YES I am fully aware that this is listed in the Digital camera section. The reason for this is simple. There is no film camera section and you are not allowed to just leave it in the camera section without specifying.

Ok with that out of the way lets get to the listing. This is a vintage 35mm Nikon EM camera. It is in great working condition with working self timer and settings. This camera is from a time when all the major companies made their products to actually STAND THE TEST OF TIME resulting in practically indestructible tanks like the one we have here. There are a few smudges on the window inside the viewfinder but the mirror and all dials knobs and parts on this camera work perfectly even after all these years.

included with this camera is a 55mm 1:1:8 Nikon prime lens. The glass on both end of this puppy is flawless and worth the price of admission just in itself. The lens focuses smoothly and without hitch and the iris manually adjusts with zero issues.

the final piece of this package is a vintage Nikon SB-E slave flash. The is in perfect condition and even has the original owners manual! it comes in a leatherized plastic case. It operates on 4 AAA batteries (not included) and yes it has been tested and still fires.

If this auction goes over 50k I will even throw in 2 rolls of premium 35mm film.

As always all Listia rules apply. I will only accept paypal for the shipping cost. And will only ship to listia approved addresses. It only takes a few minutes to do it so no reason not to. I do not do buyers remorse and I will not return the credits if you decide you do not want to pay for the shipping on the item. It is clearly posted here so do not expect me to change my mind because you refused to read.

Any questions you may have not answered above or by the pictures please feel free to ask and I will gladly answer them.

Now just to warn you this is not a Digital smart cam so any autofocus systems on your lenses will not work. You must use manual focus.

Is the inside glass clean (no haze, marks or fungus?) Only asking because you only specifically mentioned the front and rear elements.

If you mean the viewfinder there are some smudges on it that I am not entirely sure how to clean but it is still clearly visible and if you mean the lense/mirror it is clear as crystal. This camera take gorgeous shots and has been my go to photography camera for years. I have 2 more though and have moved into the digital realm so this guy has been on the shelf for a while and deserves to get out and get used like he used to.

Thanks, no, I mean the lens. It is the round, circular black thing with the glass elements on the front of the camera. (it says 50mm f1.8 Nikon Series E) If you remove it from the camera, set the aperture to f1.8 and look through it at a bright light, do you see haze? or fungus (looks like little spidery filaments) or other debris?

I'm fully aware of what a lens is so no need to be disrespectful. And as I mentioned in my reply to your question it is crystal clear. There is no Haze or debris inside. I only mentioned the mirror because you made a point to make it sound like I was intentionally hiding something.

I also mentioned in my original posting that both the front and back glass on this lense are clear as well. This lens is a 50mm pancake so no middle floating lense inside. Only the front and the back glass. All focus is moving the front lense away from the back and reversing toward it off course.

Anything else you would like to know?

Actually yes in this model they will. Nikon has used the same lens mount for almost 40 years now that is what makes them so cool. I have just added some pictures taken with this lens and this flash attached to my Nikon d3100 digital.
