The listing, *Broken* Ps3 has ended.

This ps3 stopped working and all I get is a red light when turned on. I was told that the hard drive is dead but don't know for sure. I am selling this because I just got a ps4 and don't need to worrie about this one. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me!!

I know how to fix that issue with ps3 I have fixed an original 80 gig and a 40 gig both original cases and it only takes a couple hrs

red light could be main board trouble as well depends on the number of blinks of the red light to trouble shoot exact cause actually rare that the hdd would cause the redlight being the hd will rapidly cool once you turn the console off and then let it set -.-

playstation told me it wasn't the hard drive but something is broke and or overheating but they wouldn't fix it.

From a Sony expert this is what is wrong with the system and I quote "My conclusion is that the cause for the Blinking Red Light Of Death is that the internal fan on the PS3 has a short life and died. How does this turn the PS3 off you ask? simple, the PS3 turns off to prevent overheating from the fan being off and flashes indicating that it overheated. The PS3 is merely an idiot that assumes it overheated when it didn't."
