No, I have had mine for a few years with no issues. However that being said the 925 silver makes up the frame with a triple overlay of platinum for extra bling,so I can not say for sure that at some point the platinum may not come off and you will have just the pure silver, but I don't think it would be in a peeling manner, more of a tarnished look that will be fixed with some polishing...hope that made sense :)
