I downloaded a copy of the users manual that I will include with item.

do they work good how old are they what brand are they what kind battery do they use

Uniden, battery pack rechargeable (if you need to replace in time 4AAA's) which they come with, I believe them to be about a 2007 model and not used a whole lot but when they where used we could here loud and clear. When I had them setting on my table to take pictures they were scanning and picking up all kinds of conversations....Does this help?
