I know that Priority Mail Flat Rate is $12.35. If it can ship cheaper another way with tracking, I will use the cheaper route.

The item itself is not recalled, there is a form that you can fill out if you want the free sensor pad cord cover kit to cover the wire from the sensor pad or you can keep the cord out of babies reach. The item is still for sale at several retailers and now comes with the cover kit. The link for the cover is on the same page that you listed above.
