This is the watch my grandfather had, and when I would visit him he would let me wear it. My grandfather was a miner in PA, "12 hours down in the hole and 12 hours out, drunk at the company store". I always say, "it would take me a few drinks to be down in a hole for 12 hours each day", that earned me a smack, It mad my grandmother furious but to me he was this tall, strong, blue eyed Irish wonderful man who would always be singing the super oldies, "like: wont you call me sweetheart" and so many others. I miss him, the lungs just aren't meant for a lifetime of coal dust. I hope your in heaven with grand mom, i know she's still telling you to put a saucer under your coffee cup, and I saw you spill it, just to make her mad and smile. It never needs a battery, all you need to do it is wind it carefully and wear it. I notice that Danny lives in NC, my mom lives in Ashville. She moved there after 30 years of working for Philadelphia navy depot, she's so much happier now in NC!
