REAL gold plated?

According to the company I bought them from. It will eventually wear away to the base metal. It could last for years, all depends on how thin the plating is. Not an expert, but here the defination-

Gold plates defination: A metal item that has a very thin layer of gold applied to it. The thin layer normally wears away more quickly than gold in a gold filled item.
