How's this Harvest Moon compared to say the SNES version on the one on the original PlayStation?

It's quite similar, as they all are(farming, raising livestock, starting a family, fishing etc. At the beginning, you can choose from 3 different places to start: Next to a river, along the seashore or in the village. You can play as a boy or a girl, The village is much larger than in The SNES and PS1 versions. It says you can play with up to 4 players but I've never played co-op so I'm not sure what that's about. I never actually played through the game as the gamecube I was using was my room mate's and they moved out.
