The listing, ***** Firebush seeds ***** has ended.
This is a southern plant that can grow up to 10' tall. Mine are 2 years old and about 3' tall now. Usually they are about 4' by 4'.This plant is also known as Firecracker shrub, Mexican firebush, Hummingbird bush, and scarlet bush. Someone seems to be having trouble giving it one name. It attracts butterflies and hummingbirds and is quite a showy addition to any garden. I have seen them used as hedge plants here also. In Florida they bloom all summer(6 mo) and I have read that they can grow in the north but may or may not come back the next year. They say that if you protect the roots the top will die but may come back. I don't think I'd like watching my plants die each year. I think it would be best in a pot if you live north of zone 7 so you can take it in before frosts occur.
