It costs 10.00 to buy 6k credits. That's how I figured 6k is equal to 10 dolars.

That's true, but if you give me 6k I will only be able to buy $3 ..... this is how I think about it ..... And as an advice, if you need credits sell a gift card like ebay ..... this way you'll get more credits. For $10 you'll get around 20k instead of 6k.
