verizon won't activate this phone and the only alltel store around here is in enterprise al. Tried to get my touch activated today through verizon and they told me that they couldn't do it would have to take it to an alltel store.

We used our alltel phones on verizon, I don't know why Verizon wouldn't activate it because Verizon IS Alltel. They boughtout alltel a while back.

Idk either but they told me they couldn activate my phone unless I was an existing alltel customer which I'm not. At&t also bought some of alltel according to the website....who knows I am confused just kno they wouldn do it for me

ESN is the unique number for a phone... clear means it can be activated. If it's not clear, or dirty, it means it was either stolen, or has a past due bill linked to the account and cant be activated.

Oh. Thanks. It has not been stolen, my mom bought it and used it for about a month and there is no past due bill linked to it.
