I think some people have an automatic bid if you out bid them, it automatically out bids you... that's cheating and unfair.

no it is not unfair--- they just have a higher maximum bid posted than what you are bidding-- if the bid posted is 1700 try bidding 3500 the bid will go up to the max they had ( say 2500) and you will be top bidder with an extra 1000. if it ends there you will only be charged 2500 and the other 1000 will be returned to you. That is what Maximum bids are for. Have fun bidding!!!
