I will not withdraw because I believe I posted this for some cosmic reason and the rightful holder will have it. I hope the new owner cherishes it and all that it possesses.

You should not wire wrap arrowheads that are the antique/artifact type. It lessens their value. Sorry, but I am Alaskan Eskimo and Canadian Tsimshian Indian and a collector of arrowheads, ancient artifacts, and antiques. The winner can always leave it as is or remove the wire at their own discretion. Where was the arrowhead found and what tribe is it associated with, if you know. I would still be interested in bidding, just wouldn't try to make it into jewelry. Thanks.

I have a few different arrowhead from all over. I'm not positive about origin of this one. I believe it's from Arizona. My uncle he'd told me, but my memory is not what it used to be. : ) these are hand wrapped in copper by an artist in Indiana. The arrowhead is unharmed. I too am Miami Indian. (Though the blonde hair says otherwise. : ))

I do recall him saying only the chief had this large of arrowhead though. Hope this helps a little.

Could you please tell me the coloring of this stone? Is it flint? I know one place that has a light grey flint with darker blue grey veins and i call it "The Tiger." Not natural in the area in which I have seen in but brought from an unknown place. Despite the wire and Mr. Walker's expertise this is a very unique piece in which I am sure my credits wouldn't be enough to obtain it. Maybe it belonged to a Shaman/Medicine Man or Woman and maybe it is isn't an authentic piece but it is quite beautiful and even the wrapping is quite unusual. I spent years trying to find the Tiger spear that belong to the flecks I crossed but it was too elusive. I know Mr. Walker wants it and I admit I want it but not for the same reasons as Mr. Walker. My reason isn't to go in a collection but for a spiritual reason and yet I know I don't have the credits to win it but whoever gets it will be happy if it is authentic and not just faked by some ordinary Joe.

My uncle is and has been a collector for the last 30 yrs. I guarantee it is authentic arrowhead. I was given 20 different ones and just am letting 3-4 go. It is a grey/beige color. Substantial piece. I wish I could tell you more, or that I paid more attention when he told me about them a long time ago. : )

I understand the "not paying more attention more.." as did the exact same thing when a coworker handing me a large rare quartz spear. I could only remember her telling me her father was very close to a medicine man whom he frequently when he had cancer. Before her dad passed the healer gave him this spear or what I call a spear. She passed it to me-wanting me to have it because it was so special to her dad & she knew it would be special to me. What was so strange is many people wanted it. I made a special leather decorated bag necklace and it is wrapped in deerskin inside, After about 15 yrs passing..I began studying the medicine ways & one night I took this large piece out and just looked at it. Held it. And for the first time the cutting edges could be felt all the way around. I held it up and studied it & something caused me to look down...and I noticed a beam of light shining onto my dark pants. It seemed it had came alive in a sense. It reminds me of an old legend of Uk'ta nah & the stone called Ulunsuti...the flashing crystal. If you look at this it is like a rattlesnake head in your hand and it has eyes and one has the clear spot in which the light beams through while the other eye is blind. Tomorrow I will try and locate it as it is not where it hung. I do know it had red areas I thought was old blood stains but maybe it is just iron stains. I only know it was from a mine in SC or NC & a rare quartz. Your stone reminds me of this one...special.

I'm having second thoughts about parting with this, my uncle said it's very powerful. Dates back to Mogollo, ancestors of navajo. This was a chiefs. He said it hold's great power for the owner.

Oh, thank you for not withdrawing it. I was very drawn to it. My brother is the lead bidder for now, but he can't compete. If I can win it I will give it to him. He is Shaman of our Tsimshian tribe out of Canada. We have the only Indian reservation in Alaska. Maybe the healing powers are what drew me to it. We are from the Southeast tip of Alaska, an island called Annette Island and we are members of Metlakatla Indian Community.

I'm so glad. My parents moved me to Az. When I was little and never got to meet any elders. I am Miami Indian out of Indiana and have always been drawn to artifacts also. But this is a large, commanding piece and I never wore because I felt it was meant for a man. That and it is not from my tribe. ; )

My brother and sister in law know wire art. She calls it the ancient art of wire wrapping. They cut and polish all kinds of big gemstone/rocks to do it. They collect arrowheads, antiques and artifacts. They classify everything and keep catalogs. They have a spearhead valued at over $1,000. It is really big and very sharp, not missing anything. It came from some Archaeological dig and had to be bought from a museum. I collect, but not like that. Just a few here and there. Nothing expensive. I didn't even know they could cost that kind of money.

Oh yes, big money. This is still very sharp as it has been for a thousand years. My uncle meant them for my boys, I'm keeping one for each of them, but they do not put value in them because they are too young to appreciate. That and they destroy things. Ugh. Boys. I found them playing in the sand with one and took them all away till they're older. I hate to say they're idiots, but..... lol. If this is as powerful as my uncle says, it's better off with someone else. : ) I'm rooting for you.

I did find my leather bag with the rare quartz spear I call Uk' ta nah. In one old legend I recall it having one blind eye. My stone has two eyes you feel with your hand. One has a grey quartz surrounding the eye that has a clear pupil in which the light beams through. Not a hole for the pupil and not the white clear sparkly quartz but the pupil is clear as glass & the only tiny spot in the entire spear that is clear. I am sure whomever wins this will have a special piece.

Fanned/watching/bidding. My sister in law and husband just won't be able to keep up with credits for this auction, so I will be stepping in at this point. My husband is Shaman and even though it is from another tribe it has a place in our collection. I let them both know I would be taking over for them at this point. My sister in law was going to try for it as a surprise, my husband was already trying. Neither of them have enough credits to guarantee a win. Maybe I don't either. That is yet to be seen. This is a part of history and people who lived a really hard life. We think things are hard if the electric goes out. We collect with respect for the history and lore of the arrowhead.
