585 hallmarked pearl earrings. 14K gold..Perfect for that night out or at a Broadway Show...Absolutely stunning to wear...

These are real 14K ( hallmarked 585). Tried to get the hallmarks but my skills aren't enough to do it right.

Exceptional luster, quality post. These are not Freshwater pearls. These are Akoya. Notice the top crest of the pearl, held in the fingers. You can see the sheen glowing, this is called the "Orient". This denotes the depth of the nacre, and the tone or quality of it is the pearls second color quality value. Pearls with a glow as seen here, are highly coveted and sought after. More than likely, old enough to be from Japan's Pearl Beds. Before the man made disaster of radiation devastated them following the Typhoon. That's O K, some Chinese entrepreneur's, smuggled some live Black Lipped oyster's back from Australia and Akoya's from Japan. Now they fear some many farmers harvesting pearls, they won't have enough rice to feed the county.

Once again I need to thank you for the information on these. The earrings were a gift and I never wore them..they just sat in their box...and I admired them. I have a habit of losing Pearls so didn't take the chance of wearing these.

Even someone with no knowledge of bad, average and great pearls can easily see these are so lustrous and clean. AAA grade from picture. And I am no pearl expert, but I have seen AAA Mikimoto pearls. These have the same luster. 6mm is not big for your average pearl, but for this quality, it is definitely substantial. I love these and know whoever wins the bid will be amazed how much nicer they are in person. I have yet to see a picture that can capture the true beauty of pearls or gemstones. I have fanned you and am watching. Hope you will fan back.
