That is a medal or token; not a coin as there is no value on it
Interesting item, It is from an exposition in 1897. With a real quick look into my Google Crystal Ball "Quite likely sparked by the United States Columbian Exposition of 1893, a Central American Exposition was organized and held in Guatemala City in 1897." The 1893 Expo was to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus landing in the "New World". It is not a "coin" in the numismatic definition of "coin" and would be better identified as a exposition Commemorative Medal or Token depending on the statement of a "value" on the object. From your pictures I can't see it so I would go with Medal. But never the less whatever it is, it is a nice piece of history. Best of luck with your auction
