HALO, touted as one of the best shooters ever, this game has lived up to its hype for many years with it's sequels, now play and discover the original for the first time or re play it for the sheer fun of it. This is the original Xbox NTSC version.

Yes this is backwards compatible with the xbox 360

If playing on the Xbox 360:
Some textures go white, and the demos option in the main menu is gone.
Generally slow and stuttering framerate with significant slowdown in co-op and split-screen multiplayer.
Some clipping problems with the Assault Rifle may occur.
Weapons can get stuck in the slanted Forerunner hallways in the levels Assault on the Control Room and Two Betrayals.
The 360 can freeze and require a restart if the map selection menu is accessed in Multiplayer.

Please be aware that Microsoft has CLOSED ALL OF ITS ONLINE SERVERS FOR EVERY ORIGINAL XBOX GAME. That means this or any other (original) Xbox game no longer supports any online functionality. Only Local Co-Op via split screen or System Link will be enabled.
