Let's get started!
This is a fascinating pin and reminds me of a captain's pin on a ship. I have never seen anything like this, and have no idea where it could have come from. Is it hand made? or once sold in a store? The pin is an interesting shape with diamond shapes layered over another. A rope braid runs along the edges. The pin looks like a buckle of some sort in design, the center a gilded shield with a prominent anchor in the center! Suspended from the main piece are an assortment of wooden button like beads, decorative coil beads and a center washer styled bead. The back has seen some age, from it's appearance...it gives hint that the pin fastener fell/broke off and someone replaced with a common silver fixture with a roll over "c" clasp. I would love to know more about this if anyone has info <3 Thanks!
