You put them in water and they grow about 100 times their size. Put the beads in water bowl or vase as water and let them sit for about 3-5 hours and watch them grow, they hold the water so great for plants or decorations, then if you don’t add water over time they dry out and shrink back down great for storing them and when you want them again just add water. They are reusable. They start at about 1mm each and grow between ¼” and ½” each in size
