Hello and welcome back, get ready for a whole new bunch of exciting auctions <3 I have the day off and two whole BAGS of new treasures to share <3

Let's get started!
So this is an auction for a set that I truly have NO IDEA what these are! The whole set is 5 pieces inside the wooden box. All but one comes with the original wrapping. Another strange piece was included in the lot. Please view last 3 photos. I found these in a bag of misc. stuff at my favorite thrift store. I could only see the tissue wrappings and I thought it was a tiny tea set! All pieces are ceramic (despite the box which I believe is bamboo or balsa). I believe they are hand painted and are in perfect condition with no scratches/scuffs! I would love to know more about these, what origin they are, and what their purpose is. You receive the 5 piece matching set, the box and the included, but possibly unrelated piece in the last three pictures

That seems to be the general consensus, thank you for your info. I can definitely see it now that this is what these strange little things are :) I looked up chopstick rests and their are so many kinds! This specific set is very intricate, I think there may even be some real gold in the painted design.

Now that I am looking at them...that definitely makes sense. I looked up chopstick rests and there are so many kinds! They even have little cat ones that you rest your sticks on their tummies! Amazing!

Very nice chopstick rests. I haven't seen any in that particular design before, and usually only see them in sets of four. Awesome auction! :)

Agreed. They are definitely chop stick rests. I knew that even prior to reading everyone's comments. They are lovely too =). Nice to see you back btw.
