512 Megabytes of memory. Big enough to hold 8-10 hours of music or 15-20 hours of audio books. Shows up as a USB disk drive when plugged in, just copy your music over.

Very good sound quality. Much better than an iPod in my opinion, almost as good as my old Archos Recorder. Has preset and customizable graphic equalizers.

Very compact, about the size of a pocket lighter.

Backlit multi-function LCD display. Backlight comes on whenever a button is pressed.

Three buttons and one multi-function rocker switch control operation.

Runs off one AAA battery or Mini USB charger. Battery lasts at least 12 hours, depending on the battery.

NOTE: The latch on the battery cover is broken, but a small piece of tape holds it closed just fine with no interference. The cover slides on, the tape just keeps it from sliding. See the pictures.

To power from Mini USB, you must have an AAA battery in it. Plug in a charger (not a computer, just charger), and turn it on. It will start with the battery but run from the charger. Battery lasts indefinitely this way.
