Only my opinion, why don't you set the picture with your alias in the end?, it is more interesting to read the auction with a picture of the item you're offer (I mean, the list that listia give me show your name at the beginning!

I don't know, just decided to do it that way! Might I ask you a question? Why the cat instead of your true identity? I guess it is true, cats are curious! Just kidding! It was just a spur of the moment decision, no particular reason at all! Frequently, movies show the producer's, director's and actor's names before the movie. I don't know? You make me sad, you don't like my artwork! Sometimes we sit, sometimes we stand, sometimes we walk, sometimes we run. It is called spontaneity, voluntary or undetermined action or movement. Just joking around! Thank for giving me something to think about I have not done all my auctions this way. I guess it is a reprieve from the mundane and ordinary usual styles. It still hasn't kept people from being curious and taking a look inside. I appreciate and value your opinion and will seek to find other amusing ways to present my auctions! Thank you for commenting and I hope you have a glorious day!

Thank you so much for commenting I really appreciate it! I draw cartoon characters, (popeye, looney tunes, and disney characters) wildlife, and landscapes. I have never used a visual journal before. It seems like it would be interesting to do. That is so amazing that you kept a visual journal while in Iraq! I would really love to see it! I could really get into doing a visual journal in my spare time if I was visiting another country! Just to draw pictures of the people there how they dressed and live and the amazing landscapes, buildings, villages, and homes! I just get excited thinking about it! If you miss out on this one I am planning on listing another one in July. May decide to do a gin! Thank you so much for fanning, bidding, and watching!

And your comment about the drawing the people. I am not a big fan of being shot at so most of my work over there was landscapes and abstract distractionary. Thats not a word but just to distract. Its fun to watch the styles change as you grow or become involved in a particular medium. Anyway.. I painted a lot of stuff for my unit over there that was pretty fun. A military tradition going through a particular camp is often painting t-walls(huge concrete slabs that protect against mortar shrapnel) so I have left my mark around the world. I can think of better places to draw as far as interesting people to draw and architecture. Although the half blown up palaces and lakeside views (sadams palace) are actually pretty at night.

I understand completely! I have family who did their time over there as well and they are having a very difficult time readjusting to life back in the states! I should have made my message clearer, what I meant was being able to visit a country for pleasure, not during war time. I know a hobby or something like a visual journal would be a very peaceful, relaxing, enjoyable pass-time if you are not having to always be alert of people and your surroundings and dodging bullets! Thank you so much for your comments they are greatly appreciated!

No offense taken whatsoever! I was just joking around about the artwork! I like to joke around a bit it helps to liven things up a bit in this dull boring life that I live! I apologize! I never meant to offend you! Your point is well received! This is my first auctions that I have done it this way. I did not think it would be a problem. I will do it differently next time. Once an auction has been listed you cannot go back and change it, all you can do is update, add new photos, but the original title, listing and photos remain, and cannot be changed. Sorry for any convenience!

It does seem like it takes a long time to gain credits unless you put up items that are considered worth more! I listed brand new stuff still in the box unused when I first started. Two new guitars, acoustic and electric, a new GPS, a new camera, new dvd player, etc. The credits went very fast when I started bidding! I was getting stuff to give to family members, I got quite on few from the rewards store to! I am trying to build my credits back up now! Thanks again!

OHHH one other question... would you ship to an APO? ( AP 96204) Thats the zipcode. The pricing is the same pretty much. You can check it out. Her family is stationed in Korea right now. =(
Jun 25th, 2014 at 2:20:24 PM PDT by

I have never shipped to an APO before. But I don't see that being a problem as long as you have a verified shipping address! I will check with the post office about it.

I can't on this one since bids have already been made, it wouldn't be fair to those who have already bid. I plan to list another one or two in July and I will do a gin then! Thank you for asking and your interest I really appreciate it very much!

Nevermind on the APO. Listia wont approve the military address. Dont worry about looking it up. Thanks for your time. I will still be bidding. =) I will just have to send it there afterwards. =)

Alright, thanks for the info anyway I really appreciate it! I would certainly love to be able to! Thank you so much for telling me. I would love to make items available to people in other countries if the shipping wasn't too expensive! I had a woman in the UK that was interested in an auction I had listed, but she said Listia would not verify her phone number since she resided in the UK. I felt really bad for her! Thanks again I appreciate it!

Just updated my profile picture. Its a t-wall I painted in Kuwait. =) Check it out. It actually turned out pretty well considering the conditions I was working in. I worked overnight for 3 days before leaving to another camp. Lead paint and balled up t-shirt for blending. LOL

Aww. Thank you for the kind words. I am glad to be able to motivate you to draw more. =) I really hope I win this. If you ever want one of your drawings turned into a decal let me know. I do custom decals. Im going to stop yapping now. LOL

I thank you very much !! That would be awesome!! I never thought of having my artwork turned into a decal! It just never crossed my mind. I have had photos put onto shirts but that is all. Your yapping is always welcome!! I really enjoy conversing back and forth with people from all over the world!! It always makes my day brighter or night starrier to be able to see how other people live, what they do, and how they pass the time!! Maybe they can be an inspiration for me, or I to them!! I love helping people any way I can to maybe brighten their life in whatever way I can. Especially those of our armed forces who are protecting our country and freedoms!! If I can be of assistance to you in any way, please just let me know!! Thanks again I really appreciate it!!

Yeah, HorseTrader47 you can get your work put on practically any kind of surface you want, and as many as you want. Try CafePress.com Or just create work after work after work in your style, and feature it in your shop on CafePress. I used to have an account there, but it takes me forever to create each image! I use colored pencils, and layer the colors gently over each other. Some subjects take longer than others. So I opted for http://www.paintingsilove.com/artist/marybrzys -- this is my work. Since I am a true poor artist, quite a few of my paintings (watercolor) and drawings hang on my siblings walls. They make great birthday, Christmas and Anniversary presents! The picture as my ID is a couple of Parrot Tulips, I have yet to draw in my style ;-)

Thank you so much for sharing that with me I greatly appreciate it! You have truly enlightened me and opened a whole new level of artwork that I had never considered on my own, or have never found out about yet! That inspires me to try so new ideas out myself! I had forgotten about this that I seen as a young boy, but latter on in adult life I remembered it and decided to get creative with it. I don't have any examples to show you right now because I have either sold or gave them all away. I combined three, sometimes four, or five techniques of art to create with: (Wood burning, carving, drawing, colored pencil, and paint). There are so many different ways to incorporate all this techniques together, it is so amazing! What inspire me was, when I was about seven, I befriended an elderly gentlemen who I met on the courthouse lawn playing checkers. We became great friends and he took me to his home and showed me some of his artwork. He had a piece of wood that he had combined and used all these techniques on and it was a picture of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, with the little cottage in the background and all the little birds, rabbits, deer, and other wildlife. Oh, it was so beautiful!! He had chipped away the wood wit a hammer an chisel for the cottage which made it look like it was farther away than what it was. He used wood burning around the edges the art canvas background was glued down to the wood with the edges burned and then after the use of coloring pencils and paint, after it was fully dry he slacked over the entire surface which made it really shine and stand out. I wanted it so bad!! He promised that he would will it to me along with some other things when he died. But his family didn't like me and I never received anything! I have done several pieces like that since but none were ever as beautiful as that was! Thanks for all the info I really appreciate it very much!!
