Description

The listing, Frankincense and Myrrh has ended.

These packets of Frankincense and Myrrh come directly from Israel.

Derived from tree sap, or gum resin, both frankincense and myrrh are prized for their alluring fragrance. Frankincense is a milky white resin, and Myrrh is a reddish resin.

The two simplest way to burn these resins are on charcoal or in an electric incense warmer.

Note that these are STRONG scents and a little bit goes a long way.

"And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh" (Matthew 2:11).

That's probably the coolest response I've ever had to an auction. Thanks!

I also wonder what the two smell like

It's definitely unique. To me, it smells like the BEST incense in the world. Spicy, woodsy, relaxing...it doesn't smell like "smoke" or "cigarettes" or anything of the sort, nor does it smell like those sticks of incense you get at the dollar store either. :)

And just to clarify - the charcoal that I'm referring to is not charcoal briquettes like you use to barbeque with. Incense charcoal can be found online by searching for Swift Lite Charcoal Discs or Karvounakia.

Do we get both and how much

This auction is for both frankincense and myrhh as pictured.

When you ask how much, are you asking for weight? Volume?

I honestly would keep the frankincense and myrhh as a treasured symbol for who the treasures were presented to. I'm definitely going to watch and bid; it would be an honor to own such meaningful items.
