I don’t know anything about political memorabilia, but a quick Google search tells me that some of these buttons are from the 1968 Presidential campaign (Humphrey/Muskie). Several advertise Virginia political figures. And I had to check out Hoofnagle, because that’s just an awesome name. William S. Hoofnagle was a politician from Fairfax County, Virginia who also served as chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. He only served for two years, from the year 1970 to 1972.
