I'm auctioning off one of my Herkimer diamond crystals. First off there is just one for auction right now, the one on the left. It's in the rough; the one to the right of it has been polished. I wanted you to see how the stone improves with work. It only took about 10 minutes on lapidary tools to take it from the left side condition to the right side.

Herkimer diamond is well known for it's energy-amplifying effects on the crystals around it. When making jewlery and using say a Moldavite if you put a Herkimer near it it amps up the Moldavite many times over. Herkimer diamonds are only found in Herkimer, NY and are becoming increasingly rare.

If you need more than one for whatever reason I can provide another of similar size and shape. I have a small bag of them.

I have been to Herkimer Diamond Mines several times, and loved the quarry. The place there is very fun and the park is loaded with "diamonds".... For $10 I spent all day there and had a blast digging, walking the museum, and camping overnight. Just an FYI the Herkimer Diamonds are known for their special ability to remove "toxins" but are upscale quartz.

Thanks for the info! I haven't been to the mine but I've heard its really cool. I used to go geode hunting with my Granddad and have been a rock hound ever since! Yes I should have mentioned that they are quartz and have nothing to do with diamonds perhaps other than their shine and clearness.

I often prefer the rough stones too. I have quite a collection, about half and half of polished and rough.
