The listing, Vintage Viking Satin Aqua Flower Glass Basket with Applied Handle-Artistry! has ended.

Lustrously lovely! Here's a vintage glass basket by Viking Glass (still has the original Viking sticker) in a soothing satiny aqua against clear aqua with a blossoming flower motif - a most unusual color in glass!

These handles were a one-shot deal as the glassmakers have to stretch the glass and get it right in one go! It shows slight irregularity in the handle shape but it's done pretty well. On each side of the handle you'll see the maker's symbol (each artist would choose what they liked and press it into the glass - a kind of signature, if you will).

Measures 7-1/2'' high (from bottom to top of basket handle) x 5 1/2'' x 4'' in absolutely excellent condition. This would look magnificent in a collection, or fill it with candy or flowers and present it to someone special (like yourself!) for a fabulous gift. I wish I had one for all of my Listian friends, there are the sweetest users on this site!

I love sharing knowledge (I was raised in antiques) and I really like that Listia lets me trade the items I have collected so many of over the years (doubles, triples, and more). TY! Yes, Viking glass really had some neat stuff. One of their specialties was stretched glass vases (the top of the vase having graduated heights - popular during the 60's) in an abundance of colors.

Lol I Also have alot of Viking glass and I do have a long neck stretched vase in Amber. It's nice thick glass too

I love them! My mom had a collection of blue ones in different sizes on her mantel years ago, then I guess she wanted something else, and sold them at yard sales. I remember thinking they made quite a statement grouped together like that :)

TY! These are so pretty in a window! I'll share a little story - I had a beautiful Murano glass handled purse (well, that's what they call them) and my daughter Rae (she's grown up) had the infinite wisdom to put some willow in it and set it on the library table in the same vicinity where Honoria the cat was sitting. That cat annihilated it by pushing it off onto the hard floor. I don't think I've ever seen more glass bits in my life :-)! Fanning you back!
