The listing, CERAMIC OWL STATUE MADE BY ME :) has ended.

I can say this is an antique as it was made in 1972 by me...this was my first attempt at doing ceramics...
It is 5 1/2" H x 2 1/2" W
started by buying the owl in its green unfired state, cleaned it then had it fired the first time, got it back hand painted it then washed off some of the paint and had it glazed..
I can guarantee this is a one of a kind owl...
it has been in perfect condition for 42 years UNTIL I
took it outside to take the pics , i had it in my hand on the way out the door and without thinking reached back to close the door and bumped it, Now it has one little chip off the back of the left ear, it cant be seen from the front..
i almost threw it out but decided to list anyway..
you will see the chip in the pics on the back of its head..prob. a brown magic maker can fix the look..

It's gorgeous! (however it would be a "vintage" item as antiques are technically supposed to be 100 years old) If I were you I'd keep it! Like I said, it's gorgeous ;)

My mother used to do a lot of ceramics when I was a kid... this reminds me of her work. Hmmm... maybe I should take up another hobby! Although I don't think I could come close to this or my mom's talent!

Hi and thank you very much.. It's fun for sure but every piece is a surprise even to the maker when its finally finished . can't really tell how the colors will turn out lol.
thats why when its done by hand they are one of a kinds but you should give it a try ..i may try again but you have a great day and I'm sure you would be great :))

awesome piece. I used to own a ceramic studio in AZ and taught ceramics for many years. Loved doing and still enjoy doing them to this day. I have quite a collection of ceramics and yours is special even with the tiny chip out. Love the colors. Thank you for sharing and giving this away. Someone is going to be very very happy with this.

but time for it to move on ...they were fun to do may try to start again..
