The code on the picture isnt the code at all, its just a UPC number and has nothing to do with the code itself. If you see the part of the card that says (UNIQUE DOWNLOAD CODE) it pulls away and reveals the xbox live code that you can apply to your account.

So yeah, you can try to put the code in the picture in but it won't do anything, nor does it have enough characters to even fill the gift code box.
Xbox live codes are 25 characters long.
