You know, this brooch sparkled so much that I had a hard time showing a true representation of the gorgeous color of the stones. The very last picture is taken in natural light.

First of all, this is a stupendous brooch from probably the early 60s or so. All stones are prong set (see photos) and no stones are dead, loose or discolored. The center stone sits up from the brooch as the brooch is built in a pyramid type fashion and is about 3/4 of an inch tall (the brooch) with the center stone measuring about 1/2 inch.

Overall the brooch is 2 x 2 1/2 inches. The clasp is a rollover locking C type and very secure. It is quite a stunning piece.
