System Requirements None, because it's wireless and doesn't require a computer.

Cloud Storage Free cloud storage for all Amazon content
Battery Life Up to 8 hours of continuous reading or 7.5 hours of video playback, with wireless off. Battery life will vary based on wireless usage, such as web browsing and downloading content.

ONE problem...the charging port is a little finicky... but you will not take long to figure out where to get it right...then it charges like a boss!

It has been in this family since new in 2012. The screen is in very good shape. No scratches that I notice. Also, the back sides and corners have small signs of wear, but mostly from moving slightly in its case over time

how long is the ACTUAL Battery life. I Know it reads up to 8 hours but that's when NEW , how long NOW because I want it for my grand daughter.

i have never ACTUALLY timed it, but it's not very far off 8 hours as long as you arent using internet. so i would say that NOW isnt that far off from when it was NEW.
