Not particularly valuable to others, Brit. You should keep it as a memento and it's fact, not faked, faked means not real. Zippos aren't bringing the prices they used to, old or new. I have lots of them, none are selling at any price. I have very rare lighters as well, and they aren't selling either. I have one that's so rare its in the 150 dollar price range, when you can get it, but not a nibble at a third that price. The ones that still command big money are Penguin and Duraflame with unit logos on them from the war years, ww2, korea, or Nam vintage. The better known the unit, the higher the price. You see, few lighters were made during the WW2 war years, most that were made were for military use. By Nam, things were a little different, but Zippo wouldn't make small runs for units. While they would make an "Air Force " one like you have, they wouldn't do individual units, tho some got made anyway, companies would buy the zippos then add the badge to them, but Zippo themselves didn't do it. Penguin and Duraflame would take the smaller special orders, then make the badges or do the engraving to suit the unit ordering them. Many unit lighters were never used, they were kept only as a memento, and can sometimes be found new in the box. One guy has the entire collection of every unit from Nam. As a collection, it's worth way more than the total of the lighters, since it's the only such collection known to exist.
