it depends on the child, hard to say, i have friends that have gotten them to use as shirts but each child was a different size. it is really big on my twins and they are wearing 12-18 months now. it is just really hard for me to say without trying it on first. if you are interested in the dress and not sure about the fit. i can make one in a larger size, in case the smaller one does not fit, only problem would be that i dont have those materials anymore.
