Description

The listing, 1980 MOSCOW OLYMPICS STERLING SILVER PROOF COIN SET! RARE! ORIGINAL BOX GIN OFFERED has ended.

This auction is for a rare and valuable 1980 Moscow Olympics proof silver 2 coin set. These coins commemorate the first Olympics games held in the Soviet Union, and are the first proof coins issued in the USSR (now Russia). These are made of coin silver , and the fine silver weight of the is 2.3 troy ounces, however this set is worth more than silver bullion because of it's beauty and historic significance. Each coin is protected in a clear plastic case, and they are stored in felt-lined page in an attractive red case with the Olympic logo embossed on the front. This set is the Volleyball and Basketball Olympic events. The coins are 39mm in diameter and 3.3 mm in thickness. The coins come in the original red box with the Olympic logo on the outside and XXII Olympiad Moscow 1980 on the inside. All in all, this is a very rare set. Well worth the credits....

Free shipping in Canada and to the continental US only. Please remember that this is coming from Canada and has to go through customs.

Many thanks for looking and happy bidding.

if on the customs form an item is marked as a gift there's no customs charges. if it's marked as something else there might be. they don't open it because you mark on the customs form what it is.

That's simple, anything costly shipped via Canada post, has to be declared for both buyer and seller's safety. No one wish to play with postal errors or missing things on the way. Canada post declaration form is very simple, One just need to declare contents, value and type of transaction, like Gift, selling, etc. And its up to US customs to decide to check the contents (Or to leave as it is). Generally in case of customs Tax, receiver has to pay before receiving the goods.

Do they open it,or how would they know what it inside.
