Also know as the "Princess" tree. These seeds are straight from a georgeous tree growing right here in Berkeley,Ca.! I just wildcrafted them myself.They are Chinese in origin and grow really really fast! I also have started my own in planter pots.The flowers are so beautiful and very fragrant too.Happy bidding!

"Royal Paulwonia or Empress Tree---Paulwonia is native to China,but was an early introduction to Japan, and taken from there to the Eastern U.S.A. in 1834.It is a fast grower------the finely grained timber used for delicate implements such as chopsticks. The genus name is after Princess Anna Paulovna, a daughter of Tsar Paul the first of Russia",---courtesy of my local library book! This really a beautiful tree!
